Career Cruising

The Grossmont Union High School District is working with Career Cruising to provide an avenue and research tool for students to complete a postsecondary plan before graduating from high school. This plan may include admission to a four-year college or university, community college, military, apprenticeships, career training or other educational experiences.

Students can log into Career Cruising to find the right career, explore education and training options, and build their own portfolio. Students can create their own accounts to save their careers of interest, perform college searches, keep track of volunteer hours, and much, much more. Military Options

There are five branches of the military; the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines and Navy. Some people also choose to join the National Reserves. In order to get very thorough and detailed information on the military, please visit this website: http://www.military.com/

Military Academies are highly competitive universities and another option for those interested in pursuing a college education through the military. For more detailed information, please click here.

Community College

Students can earn an associates degree (AA or AS) at a community college right out of high school. This can translate immediately to the workforce or be applied towards a bachelor's degree at a four-year university. There is no minimum GPA requirement or required testing for registration.
