Students 12 to 19 are invited to get a free heart screening at Steele Canyon High School on Sunday, November 2. The screening is free, painless, quick - less than 30 minutes. Parents simply register at EPSaveALife.org to download a screening packet.  If possible, please bring a self-addressed stamped enveloped in which a copy of your child's EKG will be mailed back to you to add to their medical records.
The screening is offered by the Eric Paredes Save A Life Foundation, which has screened nearly 14,000 teens for heart abnormalities that put 1 in 100 students at risk for Sudden Cardiac Arrest - the #2 killer of youth under 25, and the #1 cause of death among student athletes.
